I referred to this link:
The step 9 to 12 needs visual studio.
9- Open Visual Studio 2012/2013 and open Package Manager Console
10 - Edit the settings in the Web.config to match your setup, specifically the database connection string and the email settings.
11 - Ensure that the default project is NuGetGallery and go to the Package Manager Console
12 - Run the command Update-Database
I am planning to put this Nuget Gallery on a Standalone Windows 2008 R2 server. But the problem is that I cannot get approval for install of Visual Studio just for this one use of running Update-Database from NuGet package manager console.
The management is strictly against the install of Express editions of Visual Studio.
Also few other requests.
I am a newbie to websites and hosting.
I will much appreciate if for steps 6, 7 and 14 some concrete examples are given.
Say for example, server where I want to install the nuget gallery name be NugetHost.
On typing NugetHost on my machine right now, I see the IIS default screen.
Also step 16 lists localhost as a part of the URL. I will like to configure so that NugetHost is there in place of localhost.
