I just posted Offline copy of the entire NuGet.org gallery. What should I do with these 4.05 Gbs of amazing .Net Apps/APIs? which some of you might be interested in.

Amongst the ideas I propose there, I really like the one where we put each Nuget package on a public Git repo.

Question: Is there already an effort to do such NuGet to Git sync? Since that would be a great feature for NuGet users (and ideally it should be supported natively :) )

why do you want to do that?

Well I did it :)

The question now is what to do with it?

Just so you know you might not actually be allowed to legally distribute all of those packages. If the package is open source licensed, then everything is just fine. If the package is not open source licensed, say some of the Microsoft packages, the license may prevent you from distributing them. I doubt anyone will go after you if you distribute them but it's a risk you should know about.
