Hi,

i want to set up a nuget server within our company. But i'm a little bit confused about the right way, because i found 3 different approaches and don't know which one to choose.

1. Local Gallery / Server with Orchard http://docs.nuget.org/docs/contribute/setting-up-a-local-gallery

2. Local Gallery / Server https://github.com/NuGet/NuGetGallery

3. Using thet nuget server package http://docs.nuget.org/docs/creating-packages/hosting-your-own-nuget-feeds#Step_2%3a_Install_the_NuGet.Server_Package

I wan't a local server with the ability to browse the packages and submit packages like in the original nuget repo (http://nuget.org/).

Use #2 for now. It has dependencies on the Azure SDK right now, but we plan to remove that dependency later. You don't need it to deploy, just to compile it AFAIK.

It was probably a typo, but to make sure it's clear: #2 does not use Orchard, only #1.

Thanks, and yes on #2 orchard was a typo.

Is the git version (#2) a standalone asp.net website? I liked the idea with orchard integration.

My goal is to build a developer portal for our company with one solution if possible. But so i have to install some cms and a nuget web. But one last question. Do i have to pull every new version from github and the build the server completely from scratch? I'am missing some docs on github. Or do i miss something?

@haacked: FYI option #2 - you do need AzureSDK to deploy even if you are not using it.

Just set one up two weeks ago for my company.
