The specified path, file name, or both are too long.

Hello,

I get this error when trying to install a NuGet package from a gallery:

The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

The package does not contain any files that are more than 230 chars

Hi,

This is not a NuGet problem, most likely not even a problem with the package, but it IS a Visual Studio/.NET issue:

To get around this: relocate your solution to a 'simpler' folder struchture: e.g. c:\Projects\
