Is it possible to deploy code template items with nuget?

I've created some code templates for the fluent migrator project and I'd like to publish them via nuget. The problem I'm seeing is that the code templates are not project / solution specific, rather they change the new code files that visual studio offers. Since this isn't a solution specific, is this kind of thing supported/encouraged in nuget.

NuGet will not override files that already exist. It will create new files though with what you include in the content folder. I'm not sure this answers your question though.
Using the install.ps1 or adding powershell commands to the console can get you into advanced scenarios. Take a look at published applications ( http://nuget.org/list/Packages/publishedapplications ) in NuGet package explorer, it modifies the csproj file.
