Failing tests?

Jan 7, 2011 at 2:59 PM
Cloned source, built, run all tests, and I get 6 failing tests. Attached are the test results.

Given they are the exact same on my fork, I'll assume they have nothing to do with my (soon to be sent) changes.

Codeplex doesn't allow attaching test results here. Can you post it somewhere?

Jan 7, 2011 at 4:46 PM

I assume you are not seeing them fail? :(

I am not. We always make sure unit tests succeed before checking in.

Can you use Windows zip command? I don't have 7z installed and really don't want to.

Also, can you try purging your clone and building again?

hg purge --all

build.exe

Failed PackageCommand_CreatesPackageWhenPassingBasePath Assert.AreEqual failed. Expected:<0>. Actual:<-1073741701>.

The error code that it returns doesn’t make much sense. The documentation for it says

# {Bad Image}

# The application or DLL is not a valid Windows image.

Can you execute the nuget.exe located in Output directory of your test zip? Also, do the tests pass when executing build.bat?

The nuget trunk has the 7z binaries already. You dont have to intall anything.

It was a clean clone & build. But I'll try again just in case.

This usually has to do with an assembly or reference being built with Any CPU to an x64 computer with a x86 reference or having one of the assemblies with an x86 ref. Or vice versa.

Doesn't appear that that is the issue after checking though...try a different folder and clone again. Does your folder have spaces in the path?

downloaded everything again, built, same 6 failing tests (run all tests in solution, from within VS). I guess there's no point in sending the test results again. I'm pretty sure they will be the same.

Build.cmd fails to ILMerge (error code).

Anyway, moving on. If everything's working fine on your side, must be me :)

Cheers!

On the purge issue, you need to enable the extension.

You can also check the ci machine to see if there are any failures. http://ci.nuget.org:8080/
