Updates to the project process/guidelines

Hi all,

I made some updates to the project developer workflow guidelines here: http://nupack.codeplex.com/documentation?title=Project%20Guidelines

Not much has changed since we last discussed it, except for the following that we want to run by you:

  • We want to recommend (if not enforce) that all non-trivial changesets be rebased before sending the pull request. So the workflow is to pull and then rebase rather than pull and then merge. Does that sound fine to you?
  • As we discussed before, we want to enforce that only the integration team members commit to main. This will be enforced by our policy and process and not by CodePlex security groups for the time being. Thus those of you in the Developers group will have the technical ability to commit to main, but we ask that you not do that unless an integration team member asks you to do so (for example, it's a trivial change and they're busy and don't want to hold you up.)

Please review the guidelines and let me know if you have any suggestions for improving it. Thanks!

The rebase sounds fine to me.

Rebase is an extension! No wonder I couldn't find the command. Of course I didn't look too hard after having all that trouble figuring out how to add multiple remote repositories... which I still only know the manual way to do to the .hgrc file.
