After setting up a private NuGet repository and setting it as the first item in the package source list, I get the following error when calling Install-Package <package-name>:

"(...) Unable to Connect to the Remote server."

I get the error message because the private NuGet server is down, but since I try to install a package from the official repository, I expect NuGet to make an attempt on the next item in the package source list when the first item fails.

I've googled the issue to see if this has been discussed already, but I couldn't find anything.

Yeah, right now, we fail whenever one of the package sources is unreachable. You can try installing directly against the official feed by:
Install-Package <package-name> -Source 'Official NuGet package source'
