nuget with source control

I know the new version nuget can enable package restore, so we doesn't need to commit the Packages folder into source control, nuget will download missing packages during build, but I have some local dlls, what we typically do: we will creat a Lib or ExternalDependencies folder and add the dlls then commit them to source control, So I want to know if nuget can copy required dlls to a specific folder like ExternalDependencies folder when we install the package and nuget adds reference to project, so that we can manage the dlls that nuget installed and our local dlls, is it feasible?

You can install packages to a specific folder by setting the repository path.

It is not possible to do achieve that at this point of time. It is however tracked in our backlog @ http://nuget.codeplex.com/workitem/1914.
