Error for NuGet Package manager update in VS 2010 - Value cannot be null - Parameter name: v1

Dear NuGet Developers --

FYI, there seems to be a bug here, as follows.

The Extension Manager within Visual Studio 2010 fails for NuGet Package Manager.

This version was Current...

1.7.30402.blah

This version was New...

1.8.30534.blah

This is the error...

---------------------------

Microsoft Visual Studio

---------------------------

Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: v1

---------------------------

As a workaround, I closed VS, went to NuGet, which pushed me to VS Gallery, where I downloaded the VSIX, and ran it, and all is well.

Note that Web Workbench DID update just fine from within VS 2010's Extensions Manager-- so maybe ask that team for a fix or hint???

Thanks.

I'm having this issue with every update of NuGet Package Manager in Visual Studio 2010 Professional.

Launch Visual Studio, see the "New extension updates are available" balloon.
There is 1 update for NuGet Package Manger from version 2.0.30625.9003 to 2.0.30717.9003.
Click "Update" then get the following error dialog:

---------------------------
Microsoft Visual Studio
---------------------------
Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: v1
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

AS above, only way I have found to update is to Uninstall from VS and then download from VS Gallery.
No other extensions I have installed have this problem with updates.
