NuGet.exe 1.6.0 PUT

If we want to push a package to a custom server that doesn't allow PUT but allows POST, is there a way to do that with NuGet.exe 1.6.0?

Not at this point without recompiling the source. Are there servers that cannot be configured to accept PUT?

Servers we don't own.

Perhaps we should switch to using http method tunneling (X-Http-Method-Override) to make this work rather than do actual PUTs. That should resolve this issue, shouldn't it?

If it works without configuration on the server, that would be fine.

This is not a high priority for me anymore, but it might be something others run into later. Would be a nice to have option if needed.

Created gallery work item: https://github.com/NuGet/NuGetGallery/issues/424

(I know this discussion is actually about making nuget.exe do POST rather than PUT, but it seemed like a good idea to have the gallery support the method override.)
