That's because those packages do not provide assemblies compatible with Silverliggh 5.

Normally upgraded application can be compatible  with package compiled for downgraded app. (Silverlight 5 must load package compiled for Silverlight 4) If Silverlight 5.0 don't load package because uncompatible assemblies, thats is an bug of the last version of Silverlight

Can you describe your scenario in details?

  • What package do you have installed? and what version?
  • What type of project do you install it to?
  • What new version of package are you trying to update to?

Hi dotnetjunky
I have installed the last version of NuGet Package Manager (1.5.20902.9026) that present four submenu items:
“Package Manager Console”
“Manage NuGet Packages...”
“Package Manager Settings”
“Package Visualizer”.
Update do is not related to the packages, but to the ‘NuGet Package Manager’ and I tried to install the package EntityFramework 4.2.0.0 on the SilverlightApplication template solution, but the upload failed.
I have attached two screen-snipp fo best view the trouble.

I don't think you can attach files here. Can you upload the screenshots somewhere?
