restore packages after checkout

hi,

i'm checking out some project that use nuget in a pc, doing a clean install of the project and i have a problem both with project handled with tfs and visualsvn.

the packages.config file is in the projects, but if i start the build of the projects that contains packages as entity framework 4.1 i have errors because the dll is missing, the package manager tells nothing is installed and the simplest way to make it work is copy the "packages" directory.

how can i recreate the situation after a clean checkout of a project? the problem is not only the missing reference, but also the problem that package manager shows nothing, so i think is not able to check for update.

best regards,

Either check-in packages folder into your source control so they are available when you do a clean checkout of the project or follow the workflow described in the docs: http://docs.nuget.org/docs/workflows/using-nuget-without-committing-packages
