NuGet Package Explorer save packages and  metedatas without default extension.

Please by default save

NUnit.2.5.10.11092 package

with the default extension, like this :

 NUnit.2.5.10.11092.nupkg

not without it

NUnit.2.5.10.11092

And save NUnit.2.5.10.11092 metadata

with the default extension, like this :

NUnit.2.5.10.11092.nuspec

not without it

NUnit.2.5.10.11092

Do you have the option "Hide known extension" turned on? If that's the case, you won't see the extension.

If you open Windows Explorer, do you see the .nupkg files associated with the nuget icon?

So after you save the package file, what happens when you double click on it in the Windows Explorer?

OK, I'm able to repro this bug. It only repro on Windows XP. I've fixed it for the next release of Package Explorer, which is next week.
