NuGet Helper Package : NuGetPSVariables - PowerShell Variables and Values

Mar 21, 2011 at 11:12 PM
I typically forget what the actual values of the powershell variables are, so I created a package to help remind of the variables and the actual values of those settings.
It installs, writes some output to the console, more helpful output to three log files, and then uninstalls itself.

Install-Package NuGetPSVariables

It fails under UAC because it tries to wrote to c:\:

PM> Install-Package NuGetPSVariables
Successfully installed 'NuGetPSVariables 1.0.0'.
Install-Package : Access to the path 'C:\nuget.variables.init.ps1.log' is denied.
At line:1 char:16
+ Install-Package <<<< NuGetPSVariables
    + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Install-Package], CmdletInvocationException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : NuGetCmdletUnhandledException,NuGet.Cmdlets.InstallPackageCmdlet

Maybe it should write to the temp dir instead?
