Nuget server over SSL

Hi all

I am creating my own remote server feed with some custom packages. I followed the steps discussed here.

I have deployed Nuget.Server project on Win Server 2008 Standard with IIS 7.0. So I tried it with http access and it works flawless. I then moved the project to https with a self-signed certificate generated by IIS Manager. I can see feeds in a browser e.g. https://[host]/[path]/dataservices/packages.svc (having accepted the notification saying that SSL cert is self signed before). In the Visual Studio however I get the error:

The package source named 'private [https://localhost/nuget/dataservices/packages.svc]' is either invalid or not available and thus is currently unreachable.

I also cleared IE cache and checked that I can download packages by typing package url in a browser. I assume this is because the cert is self-signed but maybe not?

Thanks!

I'm experiencing a similar issue now when I try to push to a private repository with a self signed certificate.

I've tried to export the certificate and import in in the Local Computer/Trusted People store.
