Microsoft's ObjectDumper.cs as a NuGet Package?

Jan 16, 2011 at 9:15 PM

I got information from David Fowler that single files can be made into NuGet packages - that's super cool.  The actual file I was thinking of isn't mine, it's ObjectDumper.cs located (probably) here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Samples\1033\CSharpSamples.zip\LinqSamples\ObjectDumper\ObjectDumper.cs what I'm wondering is can someone at MS add this as a NuGet package so that I don't get sued into oblivion?

Thanks,
Eric

That file has the following header (emphasis mine):

// Copyright © Microsoft Corporation. All Rights Reserved.

// This code released under the terms of the

// Microsoft Public License (MS-PL, http://opensource.org/licenses/ms-pl.html.)

//

//Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

That’s an OSS license, so you can’t get sued for releasing that in a package as long as you comply with the terms of the license. J
