Ok, probably a really trivial question, but I'm curious... Is it pronounced "new get" or "nugget"?

It's pronounced like 'nougat' :)

It depends on your nationality.

Isn't the "g" silent?

Jan 6, 2011 at 4:38 PM

No, I believe the “t” is silent and the “g” is a “j” sound. So it should be “New-Jay”. Much like the store Target is pronounced “Tar-jay” by those in the know.

For me, the "G" is a soft "F" sound, as in "tough," the "E" as in "Women" and the final "T" is an "SH" sound as in "station."

New Fish.

Regardless of this you guys painted yourselves into the corner that packages are going to be called nuggets. Since this is basically .NET Gems.

That's exactly why I asked initially (humorous interpretations aside); I thought "nuggets" was a nice play on words if that's what they were going for; colleagues thought it was a play on "a new way to get" packages.

“A new way to get” is closer to the truth. J
