Locking Down NuGet 1.0

Nov 30, 2010 at 11:40 PM

Hi all, you may have noticed that we created an hg branch for the 1.0 release. The "Default" branch will become the 1.1 release. I should have announced this earlier, but so much is going on.
Because ASP.NET MVC 3 and ASP.NET Web Pages depend on NuGet and NuGet.Core, we need to lock down early as we finalize those products and work out any issues with the integration/dependencies.

However, that doesn't mean development stops. We can continue development of new features in the default branch.

One thing I'll be doing with the core team is coming up with an overall development schedule for NuGet 2.0. However, we will definitely have multiple releases in the VS Extension Gallery throughout the year.
